Caterpillar

Designed by: Sally

"My robot is called the Caterpillar. This robot is orange and purple. It has 6 wheels, shovel and drills, a rock box, solar panels, a brush, antennas and eyes, arms, and a sensor. The Caterpillar is designed to record information about the rocks on the Moon and record the climate (temperature, wind speeds, etc.). There is a big sensor on the front of the robot and the sensor is used to detect if there are rocks nearby and if so, what type of rocks they are. This robot also collects information about the weather on the Moon. The robot can use previous information to predict the weather and tell you if it's safe to go out. The decision it makes is to decide if the information it collected would be useful to the astronauts. If it decides that the info is good, it will give it to the astronauts. If it decides that the info is not good enough, it will delete it from its memory."
