Attend our 3rd annual KCJ Summer Institute, a 3-day virtual conference event offering bilingual keynote speakers, workshops, and webinars supporting digital literacy in the K-12 classroom.
On August 16-18, connect with peers from across Canada for 3 days of learning about AI, block-coding with micro:bits and Scratch, textual coding, digital citizenship, and much more. Learn Scratch and lead your own Code Club!
Join us for a virtual session introducing Scratch! Librarians, volunteers, curious learners, EVERYONE is invited to learn with us! Scratch is a block-coding platform and uses a drag and drop method which lets kids perform actions quickly and easily. This introduction session is great for anyone wanting to learn Scratch basics or wanting to take these teachings to lead their own Code Club! It will take place in English, on June 28th, from 5 to 6 pm EST and it is free!

Calling All Teachers: Share The Digital2030 Challenge!
Encourage youth to develop their digital skills while exploring SDGs! Share The Digital2030 Challenge and help teens all around the world lead their future! The Challenge is designed for youth ages 12-17 to inspire them to think about their physical and mental well-being while also learning about data visualization, algorithms, and coding. It is a great activity to do in and out of the classroom, as a group, or individually!
Our friends at Take Action Global are excited to announce their new program for schools. The Climate Action Schools program offers a year-round opportunity for your entire school (PreK-12). The program includes all instructional resources and materials, professional development, school partnerships, and marketing materials.
Participating schools will be eligible to receive the Climate Action Schools certification. Funding guidance, support, and scholarships are available. Early access registration is now open with selection beginning for the 2022-2023 school year!
